I was blank. No news worthy ideas to pitch to Chioma for stories. It happens, but instead of being completely empty-handed, I once pitched a new feature idea: Take shots of your daily looks...

Javana looks different every time I see her. Watching her reinvent herself between a matter of a week is simply so much fun.
Here, she inspires us right back to the medium brim hat. Get one by Pendleton at Opening Ceremony. I would never give mine up but Nelson had me considering.
Nelson, spotted in NoHo, NYC looks so gentlemanly at what I doubt is any more than 22 years old! It's never too early to tap into dapper. See the picks he inspires below!

A mix of edgy and sexy. Skulls and roses. Every bit is intentional--the snake wrapped heel, the infusion of red muted by sharp black studded leather and earthy turquoise and browns in a pile of bangles.
The clamoring of pieces on the wrist and clicking of the heel against the pavement says "I'm so confident, I don't mind making a little noise." What I want to wear now!
Kiera, 1/2 of BlynQueens Vintage, is always so refreshing and inspiring in how she puts together her vintage looks. She and another girl I spotted at my boy's bday party on Saturday shows that blazers are still the layering option of choice for this spring.

These shots have nothing to do with Fashion week. But I love them. I shot them at this event on Chinese New Year at the Chinatown Brassierie for a line that I'm not really familiar with. In any case, the shots tell a story...read along.
Chioma's on Garance Dore! Having assisted Chioma for a couple years as a fader contributor, I know her style well. It a mash up of boy and girl, vintage and fast fashion finds with designers thrown in for good [quality] measure.
She's never average, always true and comfortable in her own aesthetic--even here as she pulls off what Garance rightly calls the "Impossible Skirt Length." //photo cred//
Last summer, I mentioned Fola Sade's tag book that she shot me and other familiar faces for at 40, I mean, 0 OZ. Bounce //here//. She's tagged the shots just when a couple blasts of 40 degree weather after a brutal blizzard has me craving for warmer temps like never before. The power of nostalgia is keeping me sane. The paps got me on the step and repeat! I kid!
Shots were taken of everyone who attended the Lucky Shops sale a couple weekends ago. It was basically a huge sale event that personified the deals seen at the back paegs of any Lucky issue.
But going on the last day at the last two hours pickings were slim. I'll be sure to reference the sale when I wear my vintage finds from te one vintage vendor. How lucky for even one! Other designers I looked out for were KOOBA, DVF, Charlotte Ronson, Rebecca Minkoff and of course, I had to swing by the station for the jewelry designer I work for, Miguel Ases.
